Ahh, the good 'ole days. I remember renting a VHS player to play rented VHS tapes. LOL. A few years later, our local video store made same-day rental offers. You could rent a movie on a weekday for about $3. If you returned it by 7pm, you'd get a rebate amounting to a rental fee of just 80¢. Then they could rent that movie out for the night at full rate. It was a great deal for high school kids. For a long time I'd walk from school to the video store, and rush home to watch the movie so I could get it back in time.
