He's not basing his advice on just his experience on News Break. He's basing it on six years of writing on various platforms and research on how News Break operates.
I've been writing for 30 years and have worked across scores of platforms. Experience with how things work counts for something.
I wrote something before I even joined News Break (linked below). Watching many writers jump up and down over three months of promised money leaves a lot to be considered. In three decades, I have experienced first-hand what that excitement can do to a writer. Look at what happened when Vocal launched. There are so many writers who poured a ton of energy into the platform to make a few bucks because of how it works. While I've made money on Vocal, I certainly wouldn't recommend it to all writers. Truth be told, everything about the News Break Creators Program is unfounded. So to warn writers about potential issues based on real experience makes sense.
While Tim raises concerns 10 days after signup, it's not about *his* earnings. Just the same, being a big proponent after two months isn't ideal either. Sorry, but 1,500 followers in one month isn't necessarily tremendous growth because the two platforms are entirely different.
