If that were the case, I don't think "white entitled male" would appear in the text 18 times, most used as descriptors of Tom. There's giving advice - teaching others what not to do in certain situations - and there's using others' painful-to-watch drama to drum up support to cancel someone.

Perception is everything. And it's pretty clear that this is little more than a hit piece. And it also opens eyes. It tells the rest of us that if we make the mistake of inappropriately defending ourselves or - gasp - being stupid enough to get baited into doing it, the wolves will be called upon to cancel us.

None of this helps the writing community grow. It promotes divide - between sexes and races.
