That's what I thought might happen. I've been studying Vocal for a while and the way I see it, our time is worth something. I don't feel comfortable taking something from a membership platform and putting it on a public one. If a story "tells" me I need to push it out freely, I can do so with Medium's friends link.

That's not to say I won't ever post on Vocal, but I can't imagine putting my best content there is going to be that rewarding.
